The Bhairav Kund area is the northeast of Kathmandu offers the proximity to the Himalayan Mountains than any other area in Nepal. The abrupt variation in altitude found here is amazing from the narrow trails. From Bhairav Kund, there are no dominant ranges to spoil the views of Himalayan range of Jugal Himal in which peaks include Dorje Lakpa (6966 m), Madiya (6257 m) and Phurbi Ghhyachu (6637m). The mixes of mountain culture along the views on the route of the trek are marvelous. The highlight of the trek is the Bhairav Kund, a holy lake situated at (4200m), the dominating skyline and the life style of nomadic people untouched by time. The trekking group has to be self-contained, as there are no lodges.
